Every week, CEDRIC GERVAIS pours his heart out deejaying and keeping an exhausting schedule of international club dates, but he’s also carving out precious time in the studio working on what’s to become his next, hotly anticipated artist album, Miamication (Ultra), due out early-2010. The first two singles from Miamication, “Mauri’s Dream” and “Disclaimer,” made a huge splash on Beatport.com upon their release. “Mauri’s Dream” was an “Essential New Tune” on PETE TONG’s BBC-Radio 1 show three weeks-in-a-row, and “Disclaimer” continues its steady climb on the best-of lists of fellow global DJs.

GERVAIS’ full-length studio album, Experiment (Ultra Records), was released in 2006 and followed the single, “Burning.” Experiment proved very successful and the album’s songs embedded themselves in club-goers’ psyches, demonstrating GERVAIS’ keen songwriting skills with tunes like “Spirit In My Life” and “Pills.” Said GERVAIS, “It’s an honor when DJs I respect are playing my tracks. At the end of the day, I make music that I like listening to and that I believe will work well on a dancefloor. If other credible DJs are playing my tunes during their sets, that’s a great feeling.”

Born in Marseilles, France, and currently based in Miami, Florida, CEDRIC GERVAIS holds a highly coveted residency at Miami superclub, Space, where he packs the Terrace with musically savvy clubbers there to hear his afterhours sets. With previous residencies at Miami’s Crobar (now Cameo) and Nikki Beach on his resume, GERVAIS has earned a reputation for filling a room with a fashion-conscious, sexy, often European-leaning crowd. As a producer, GERVAIS works from his own state-of-the-art recording studio, and he has collaborated with LENNY KRAVITZ, DUBFIRE and SHARAM (DEEP DISH), and DURAN DURAN, to name a few. GERVAIS continues working closely with SHARAM and the two recently released the track, “U Don’t Even Know Us” under the pseudonym, Sharvais.

Always the hard-charging professional artist, GERVAIS is also the label chief of his own Sleaze and Sleaze Tech Records; the former focused on house music and the latter on a more minimal techno sound.
