ICONIC RAPPER, FREEDOM WILLIAMS, SIGNS WITH SEATOSUN|LOVERUSH DIGITAL AND RELEASES “PARTY TIME (GET UP, GET DOWN)” ON FEBRUARY 16^th, 2010.

NEW YORK, NY (December 14^th, 2009) – A deep-throated rapper with unmistakable syncopation. An artist who’s sold over 8 million albums worldwide. The voice of unforgettable singles that went #1 around the globe. Queens native, FREEDOM WILLIAMS, is all of those things. As the front man for C+C MUSIC FACTORY during the act’s heyday, WILLIAMS is the voice and personality behind the international hits, “Gonna Make You Sweat (Everybody Dance Now),” as well as the C+C Music Factory singles, “Things That Make You Go Hmmm” and “Here We Go.” The C+C Music Factory album, Gonna Make You Sweat, sold more than 8 million copies worldwide, and its iconic singles have proven their longevity as evidenced each time “Gonna Make You Sweat” is blasted over the soundsystems of baseball stadiums across the country. After a brief hiatus, WILLIAMS returns to the dancefloor with a series of hotly anticipated releases from trans-Atlantic boutique label, SEATOSUN|LOVERUSH DIGITAL, starting with “PARTY TIME (GET UP, GET DOWN)” on FEBRUARY 16^th. A full EP will follow in MAY, 2010.

From the breaks on the intro, WILLIAMS’ signature rap makes an entrance and doesn’t let up for the duration of this bouncy, celebratory, syncopated and synth-laden track. Perfectly radio ready, “PARTY TIME” is a commercial hit in-the-making, albeit one ideally suited for re-rubs and extended spins in underground clubs. The earliest and most noteworthy remixes include those by SeaToSun|Loverush Digital labelmates, STED-E & HYBRID HEIGHTS, as well as the DAVE PEZZA Kaleidoscope Remix, the SOULSHAKER Mix, and the IVAN KAY Remix. DARIO CAMINITA of Italy’s M.O.D.A. Music Fashion produced the original track and his brother, MARIO CAMINITA, adds another twist with his Deep Lounge Mix.

Hailing from the Hollis section of Queens, WILLIAMS grew up with lyricism ingrained in his psyche. As a youth in Hollis – stomping grounds of JAM MASTER JAY and RUN DMC, and LL COOL J – WILLIAMS lived among the early hip-hop innovators, and soon he was rockin’ parties as MC TINY TIM. WILLIAMS’ first commercial success came in 1989 rapping on a tune titled, “Freedom” (Nu Groove), featuring diva vocalist BARBARA TUCKER. WILLIAMS’ next single, “Get Dumb” (Vendetta/A&M), was co-produced by KENNY “DOPE” GONZALEZ of MASTERS AT WORK. That track was the B-side to SEDUCTION’s hit single, “You’re My One And Only (True Love),” and it was at New York’s Quad Recording Studios where WILLIAMS first caught the attention of legendary production duo, ROBERT CLIVILLÉS and DAVID COLE, founders of C+C Music Factory. A multi-platinum career with C+C ensued, and WILLIAMS went on to have a thriving solo career afterwards with the release of the album, Freedom (Columbia), in 1993; that album included the top-five charting singles, “Voice Of Freedom” and “Groove Your Mind.”
